Irrigation Timer 1 Zone

Hint: Always add your smart devices in the same room you have the OZOM Box. After the device is connected you can move it to its desired location and test range.

Please check the batteries have full charge when setting the device.

Insert the batteries and move the dial to the auto position.

Check that the wireless icon on the timer display (see red circle) is flashing to indicate the timer is in pairing mode.

Hit the button in the Ozom App to set the Ozom Box into search mode.

Your irrigation timer is successfully connected to OZOM when you read the words 'SMART MODE' in the display window of the timer device and the wireless icon remains solid. The time of the device will be set to the same time zone of your OZOM Box.

In the OZOM App you will see a new tile in the dashboard.

Place the timer where you want to use it. In the OZOM App, tap onto the tile representing the irrigation timer. In the device menu hit 'Ping device'.

If the Timer is within the range of your OZOM Box it will respond to the ping by displaying the word 'tESt'.

Step 5

Not seeing 'tESt' could mean your Irrigation Timer is out of range of the OZOM Box. Get the timer closer to the OZOM Box and try ping again to test the range.

If the timer needs to be farther from the OZOM Box you can extend the Box's range by placing an OZOM smart plug, bulb, or siren in a location between the OZOM Box and the Irrigation Timer.

Note: After the Timer has been added to your OZOM system, you must use the OZOM App to control and program the device. You will not be able to program or run the Timer at the device itself. The Timer will operate in smart mode in all dial positions other than OFF. When the dial is turned to OFF, all water is suspended and you will not be able to operate the Timer at the device or from the OZOM App.

Troubleshooting

If adding is not successful after 10 minutes, the Timer will stop trying to connect to the OZOM Box.

Remove and reinsert the batteries, and use a pointed tool to press the 'reset' button on the Timer device 5 times in rapid succession. After the wireless icon in the Timer display window start blinking, try adding the timer again starting from Step 3.

Please check the batteries frequently, most device functionalities are disabled if battery has low charge.
